It's been a while, but here I am again.
Last month we went to visit our family in Bloomington and then headed down to Marion, IL.
It was a baby shower for our cousins M & H. They are expecting their first biological child. They already have two precious adopted ones. Jon and I are VERY excited for them, specially because we will be having our first borns so close together andd we really enjoy spending time with them. We have so much in comon. And so much fun together!
Anyways, the weekend turned out to be a great blessing for us. Although the shower was for M&H, we ended up with amazing gifts. They gave us a bunch of toys, a CRIB, a STROLLER and a CAR SEAR! How wonderful and beautiful is our God! He is faithful all the time. We were very much blessed by M&H. We were hesitant to register for those items because we know how expensive they can be. Yet, God provided for our need and it didn't hurt the pocket. They had gotten these items as donations from other friends and family who knew they were fostering. Now that they didn't need them (they had many!) they were able to continue the chain of blessings by passing them unto us.
Not only that, but when we came back home, my small group ladies threw me a surprised baby shower. We were so thankful for their love and thoughtfulness. We were not expecting that. So they blessed us with diapers, bibs, blankets, baby wipes, and all the essentials of a month worth (and some more).
I can only sign the Doxology Hymn "Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow". They flow every morning, with every breath we take, with every heart beat of our unborn baby!! I can only imagine what great things our Lord will bring to us as days go by and baby's birthday gets closer!!
